What Is FCC Support?
FCC support is provided to meet 3 goals: Aid Oregon WIN Members with questions surrounding
filing, renewal, modification or transfer of their licenses; Provide the same support to OSU Departments;
Central Point of Contact for the CORES Registration of the Oregon Board of Higher Education
What is NOT FCC Support?
FCC support is not: Legal coordination for FCC filings. Here to tell you how to manage your radios.
Background
Within the Oregon University System the only legal entity to do business with the FCC is the "Board of Higher Education"
Until 2002 to be legal all licenses had to be filed through and signed by the Board Secretary or designate. When the FCC
required the use of TIN/EIN registration in 1998, the Board found that there were many licenses thay never knew about,
much less authorized. This led the Board in 2002 to authorize each campus President to appoint A
campus FCC Coordinator to act as the Boards designate for licenses on that campus. In short: All contact with
the FCC must be made through the campus contact.
