OREGON WIN NEWS Program Support

Oregon WIN users deliver a variety of programs over the network including:
  • National Talk Shows
  • Network Newscasts
  • B-roll footage
  • Local sports events and sports related programs
  • Lectures and cultural events
  • Local stringer feeds
  • Weather cams and reports

Programming is a joint effort between the NEWS orgizations and Oregon WIN members. Each member sets their own policies as to the amount of support and facilities they can provide within that institution's mission and responsibilities.

The Up-link at Oregon State University is a dual path redundant Ku analog with coverage from arc slot 72 degrees West. Stations within range of our ITFS systems may be able to receive feeds via that system. Some stations have provided their own equipment and have been placed on our core routers.

The microwave paths that connect the switch points are for educational use and commercial use must be secondary
